Leroy,
I’d try to stay away from “work from home” typing jobs (or medical entry jobs!)
While there IS money to be made from home, typing or surveys are not the best way to go.
The best way to go is to start your own business!
When I say that, I mean there are really a number of ways to make money online.
Here are just a few of them:
1. Make a website or blog on a topic that you know about.
Then, you sign up to AdSense and other PPC content sharers, and you make money when people click on your links.
2. Sell an actual product
You can still make money by selling advertising space, but this way, you make money by selling a product.
3. Sell a digital downloadable product.
Like an eBook or some other type of digital product. This way, you don’t have to deal with postage or anything like that. It’s like an online vending machine!
It’s really easy to set up websites like these. In fact, you can buy a website on eBay for very very little time or money, and start making money within a week or two of marketing your website!
Anyways, I hope this post helps you to see other avenues of making money online…
Good luck!

Do you mean you finished high school or a medical coding/billing program? First you need quality training. Your training program should also teach you how to solicit your own clients or how to go about finding work in the field.
If you want to do coding/billing from home, you are going to have to spend money. A good medical billing program is going to cost at least $1,000. Then, you will need money to do a mass mailing w/ a flyer in your area to solicit your own accounts.
The start up costs will be about $2,000-$2,500.
The only other way is to possibly find a local physician who will hire you and then allow you to work at home.

I suggest you do an on-line search, they offer a lot of information on medical billing and working from home, but be careful, they are some sites that are misleading or even scams.
