When you begin going to school there are going to be basic core classes that every class requires. This may not sound like something that will be to fun but they do give you a chance to decide on your major. Many schools have a policy in place that only allows you to change your major a certain number of times so when starting off it is okay to not have a major chosen so you can avoid having to go through the hassle of changing it later down the line.

Take School Seriously:

Obviously, when you are an adult your parents are not going to be down your back about school as to when you were a child. This means no one is going to force you to study – including the professors – so you have to do it on your own. College is a lot different than high school so in terms of missing one class feels like you have missed a whole semester. This is because so many topics are discussed each class session.

However, if you are someone who wants to be a therapist or something of that nature it would be better for you to take a degree in Psychology. Just make sure when choosing your major you are not majoring in something that is irrelevant for your career. In the long run you will hold a degree but it will be pointless because you will never use it. There are already to many people who have degrees that they do not use.
