A New Mothers Survival Guide

A new mother can be a stressful endeavor. With the continuous demands of a new baby can be difficult to take a little time for yourself. For your body and sanity however, do require a little bit of "mommy" time to help you relieve stress.

How to survive with a new year baby? When the baby is napping, or if your spouse is home and able to watch the baby for a little while, take a nice relaxing bath. Make it altogether uxorious by adding bubbles and candles, with your favorite music in the background. This will not only assist emotionally by allowing a little bit of time for yourself, but can also help physically by relieving muscle aches, pains and strains induced by constantly being on the go.

Read a book (New Mothers Survival Guide). If you enjoy reading, a little time with a book can act wonders for alleviating some tension and allow you with time all to yourself. You are able to read a book while baby is napping, or if there is somebody else around that can watch the baby, or you can read a book while taking a bath or relaxing in the sun on the patio.

Lose yourself in a favorite movie for a couple of hours. This too can be done while the baby is asleep, or even quietly playing. By just simply watching a movie, you can provide yourself with a little pleasure. Even better, if you are able to find a baby-sitter, go to a movie theater and enjoy a little mommy time.

By asking around, you can more than likely find a reliable baby-sitter for a few hours, so that you can do something just for you. Make certain that it is an individual that you completely trust, so that you can thoroughly enjoy yourself, and not spend your free time worrying.

Go shopping, go to a movie or even simply take a walk in the park. The actual act of just getting away by yourself will provide a great deal of stress relief no matter what you are doing. Even if you are breast feeding, you can still get away for a few hours in between feedings.

Share the responsibility with your spouse. This allows you to have a little free time to yourselves. Neither one of you should have the exclusive duty of caring for your child. By acting together to care for your baby, you can both get the stress relief that you need.
